[DAY 5]
"Sir, please don't believe the rumors. Once the trial ended, CJ's innocence will be proven and our image will be restored to its peak. It's only temporary. We assure you that CJ will truly compensate you and prove to you that CJ Company, a century old company, will rise on top again. Please don't pull out your investments," one of the board directors said to the phone. Since early morning, they received calls after calls from the investors. They were all pulling out their investments, breaching the contracts.
The matter with GXX Company being quiet made things worse. Other companies sensed something was fishy and realized that the rumors against them could possibly be true. Business is business, and they did not want to ride on a sinking ship. The investment companies that have relations to CJ began to breach their contracts and distance themselves from CJ—a tainted company. They did not want their company's image to be blackened, too.
Of course, this move did not escape SHM's tailing techniques.
They posted again about the companies that pulled out from CJ. The viewers were adamant to know if it was true or not, contacting those companies in the list. The companies that pulled out did not wish to get involved in the mess and yet have no intention of offending CJ squarely, so they chose to keep silent as well.
This made people more agitated. Because they could not contact those private companies, who were not obliged to answer them in the first place, they turned to the government.

Xiong Zhi was sipping her tea while staring at Lawyer Chang. Lawyer Chang did the same, sipping at her coffee while staring at the girl.
'How's the thing in her end...? -Xiong Zhi.
'How's the thing in her end...? - Lawyer Chang.
"The evidence—" Lawyer Chang.
"The trial—" Xiong Zhi.
'...' The two closed their mouths and stared again for a while.

Following what Xiong Zhi said, SHM did not waste any time and announced to the public about the upcoming trial of Xiao Mei's case. They posted articles showing how unjust it was for Xiao Mei to be a suspect while all the evidences were all pointing at CJ. The matter regarding the fake diamonds had affected the public a lot as most of them bought products from CJ before, and they wanted to reimburse the jewelries they bought if ever it was proven fake.
Seeing this article, the public was fired up more. They had used their hard earned money to buy these jewelries, so they demanded to the government and the judicial department to let them witness the trial because they were also collective victims.
In the judicial department, calls after calls greeted them.
"Yes, sir, we will see the matter at hand. Yes... Yes, of course. Thank you sir, we will announce what the department's decision on this is. The officials are now having a meeting regarding this. Yes, later in afternoon. Thank you, sir."
Then the door of the conference room opened, revealing a middle-aged man.
"Announce to the public, we are having a public trial."
And then sounds of dial tones, ring tones, and typing filled the hall.

In the afternoon, a huge meteor hit the CJ Company.
The Judicial Department just announced that the trial would be opened for public through a live coverage.
President Long and the board of directors urgently called the relevant people they had relations with.
"What do you mean you don't have a choice!?"

However, in the other side, Lawyer Chang and Prosecutor Huo Dian were pulling their strings to gather evidences and prepare their statements and various documents, and double-checking on every detail. They already filed to the judicial department to become the prosecutor and the lawyer.
In their letter, they said, "As it is a public trial, the department must assign a respected and trusted prosecutor and an experienced lawyer who can present the case justly, not a mediocre one and a junior, in order to appease the public."
Since the two had established a good public image, the judicial department allowed them to.
The lawyer that had been initially assigned by the chief had low image, less experience, and low chances of winning the case. The prosecutor did not have much achievements, too, if compared with Prosecutor Hou.
So, replacing them would be better. Besides, it is a trial with live coverage, they must present their best.
Prosecutor Huo and Lawyer Chang did not let the news of the replacement of the lawyer and prosecutor reach their Chief's ears.
