Lively chatters, smiles, and laughter were all around creating a pleasant and joyous atmosphere.
In the distance, a lovely couple passed by a group of teenagers who were hanging around and joking to themselves. When the couple passed by, the group's laughter died down and their eyes followed the two figures.
One of them exclaimed.
"What a gorgeous couple! And they're so cute!"
A couple sitting on the chair were subtly making out when the girlfriend caught the sight of another couple approaching. She stopped moving in the middle of a kiss and the boyfriend noticed. Following the sight of his girlfriend, he stopped as well. They waited in silence until the two passed by them. The girl still looked at the cute couple as she muttered.
"I like their shirts..."

No one could blame them. The couple was really a sight in their couple shirt.

The girl looked utterly serious unlike the cheerful and sweet background music, making Linfeng straighten up subconsciously and wait nervously.

Putting the microphone near her lips, Xiong Zhi began to sing.

Xiong Zhi sang the first stanza with a cold, hard tone at first, a huge contrast to the lively and soft song. She looked intently at Linfeng and sang the lyrics. On the last line though, Xiong Zhi's eyes squinted a little and curved her mouth slightly. She looked like she was smiling, but to Linfeng, she seemed like she was preparing for war.
His heart skipped a beat. He felt as if there were ants crawling from his feet to his legs and arms. He was tensed, his heart seemed to be hanging on something, and he felt as if something was coming his way. His mind seemed to be guarded and was preparing for something. What did he need to be prepared for?
Linfeng looked at Xiong Zhi confusedly. 'What are you doing to me, Young Miss?'
"I like your shirt, I like your fingers

She tilted her head slightly while looking intently at him, her eyes reflecting his figure. Her face began to soften as she spilled out her feelings.

Determinedly, Xiong Zhi raised her slender fingers to point at Linfeng at the last line.
She raised her voice a little to match the song, her voice shaking slightly with emotions that were coming out from her. The song really matched her feelings.
Oh! How hard it was to hold in her feelings for Linfeng!

Her cheeks slightly reddened as she sung out her confession. She swayed her body a little, matching the beat of the song. Now, she no longer looked so cold and stiff. The unique charm of a girl began to come out.

The crowd gathered around, infected by her singing. They looked at the beautiful girl in the center wearing a matching shirt, and they became eager to watch for more.

The beat of the song was very lively, a song about a girl who was so in love with a boy. A typical romance. This song really match what Xiong Zhi was feeling inside. In the song, the boy appeared to hold feelings of affection for the girl as well, with every subtle action of him.
This time, Xiong Zhi was reminiscing of her past and present with Linfeng.
How she came to like him. How she noticed every twitch of his brow. How she was aware of his every move. How her heart skipped a beat and race by just a slight curve of his lips. How happy she became with a simple greeting from him. How she began to notice his glances.
Singing every words, Xiong Zhi could not help but smile, her eyes shining with a gentle light as she watched the youthful Linfeng in front of her.
She remembered when Linfeng tried to lighten up the mood and made attempts to make her laugh. He even acted foolish in front of her. That time, her grandfather just died, her inheritance was gone, and the people around her no longer hid their greed. It was a bad time.
In fact, due to her ignorance and alienation, she did not care that much about those, unlike Linfeng who thought she was dejected by the series of unfortunates. She knew what Linfeng wanted to do. But in the end, she did not humor him. She finally smiled though when he went away ashamed.
