We get back to the estate and the closer we get there, the more terrified I get. Rex was quiet all through the journey and that is not the problem. The things I saw in his head, scare me. The fact that my innocent mate is having those thoughts are driving me insane.
I park the car in front of the house and we all look at each other. Even Gyles has been quiet and I don't even know what he is thinking. I am curious to know what is running through his mind. Does he still feel guilty?
