My heart is still beating heavily as he leads me back into the private room. On my way inside, I notice that the restaurant is still empty. "I never knew you to be impatient,'' Russ scowls with an amused smile on his face as beau leads me back to the chair I was seated on.
"Fuck off,'' I roll my eyes at him because I want him out of here. Russ is annoying. Like the highest level of annoying. He was teasing me intentionally. He was trying to rile me up. trying to watch me break—especially since he knew that I didn't even want to be here with him.
"God, I guess this is my cue to leave,'' he walks in the direction of the door. My attention is fixed on beau. he is the only one I care about right now. I have never seen him this dressed up in all the time I have known him.
"Thanks again. I know this wasn't easy,'' beau tells my best friend as he walks out of the room.
