His screams in my head make me recoil on the ground. I am still in my wolf form, to Darrien, I must look hurt but I am just terrified.
"Baby, what is wrong?'' he asks immediately, his hands reaching for my fur. I don't know how to tell him that Lenny is alive. We have had this doubt in our minds. Deep down, I knew that something was not right. I knew there was a chance that Lenny was still alive and this just proves it all.
I close my eyes and my wolf creeps back inside me and I come out. I am naked and it is cold as I open my eyes but Darrien is looking at me with concern filled eyes. I reach for him and he pulls me up into his arms and lifts me off the ground. His body engulfs me as I try to take steady breaths to calm myself down.
