As long as it's not a blind date everything is acceptable. He internally sighed to himself in relief and that is when he started to take things seriously.
"Okay. So Miss Shao wants to enter my filming crew. Can I know the reason?" he spoke respectfully.
"Well, there are a few 'friends' I need to find for which I need to follow someone in your crew," she said nonchalantly but when she said the words 'friends' he involuntarily shuddered. He also understood that he cannot delve too deep into this matter and he should just be the little assistant he can be while taking her as his little assistant to his crew tomorrow.
"Oh. Okay." He nodded in understanding, "Then, there will be no problem for you to join the crew as my assistant. You can be prepared for the journey tomorrow."
Shao Rong gave a simple nod in reply and just then her phone rang. She excused herself to pick up the phone and went outside the room for a while.
As soon as she left, Father Sun reprimanded his son in a stern voice, "Don't play all your silly tricks in front of her. Heed my advice and treat her respectfully. Getting in her bad books is a danger zone for you, from which even I can't help. Remember that, on the surface, she is your assistant but in reality you are her assistant. No, even being her assistant is a big value for you."
Being a famous actor with millions of fans, Bingwen couldn't accept that his father doesn't see him fit to be someone's assistant. He could just grit his teeth and ask, "Father, who is she? Why am I not fit to be her assistant. I am not that worthless."
"I can not tell you who she is but all you need to know is that I cannot afford to offend her. Assisting her is a very huge responsibility I am giving you." He softened his voice as he continued, "Xiao Wen, don't make any mistakes in front of her and be my pride for once."
Listening to his father's last sentence, Bingwen understood the seriousness of this matter. What more is that, this is his chance.
His last chance to prove his father that he is capable.
His last chance to prove that he is not worthless.
His last chance to prove that he can be his father's pride.
His last chance to get his father's approval.
One month. That is all he needs to work hard for. In one month he can be back to his father's heart. He can be back to make his father pamper him again like he used to.
Last chance.
He knows not to lose this chance because once lost it can never come back. He gave a solemn nod stating he understood. He doesn't want to use any words, instead he wants to use his actions to prove himself.
They heard soft footsteps towards their way and understood that Shao Rong returned and they turned their heads towards the door simultaneously.
She came inside and sat on her previous seat gracefully while looking at her mobile phone. Once done, she closed her phone and said, "My flight tickets are booked along with yours. So, travel is arranged. Stay, where are you staying?" she asked Bingwen once to check.
"We have our own villa near the shooting location. You can stay there, Miss Shao." Bingwen answered in a humble way.
"Hmm. Stay, done. Next comes work. What does an assistant for an actor do?" she asked while checking her mental checklist. She knows a lot of things but not what an assistant of an actor does. After all, the work of an assistant of a businessman differs from that of an actor right? And, she never crossed her paths with an actor before, let alone their assistant. So, she needs to check what she should be doing first, before entering that role.
While she was enquiring, Bingwen wore a blank face. After all, he is a pampered boy from his childhood. He only knows how to enjoy the services and not to note them.
Just one to and Shao Rong understood what was on his mind and sighed. "Xiao Wen, call your assistant now to meet. It would be better for me to meet them today instead of surprising them directly on the flight." She ordered like she would order her little brother.
"I'll call them to my place immediately. They don't know my identity, so it's inconvenient to call them here. Miss Shao, can we meet in my place instead?" Though he made a decision, he wanted to cross check with her once.
"Okay. Let's leave now," she left with Bingwen immediately after bidding their farewell to Father Sun while he stood there shaking his head at his silly son wondering how he would live for the next month with her.
