Chapter 6 - MYS 6 Please Take Me Home

MYS 6

...

Up close I could only silently watch the scene. It's too bad the energy that I worked so hard to gather for supplies to meet at six o'clock this afternoon, just to break up the useless fight.

But what can you do, the heat of the sun is crueler to the point of being so stinging than on ordinary days. My whole body was drenched in sweat when the harvest was over at three o'clock in the afternoon. I was so tired I fell on the grass, under a banyan tree behind the school. Take a breath and close your eyes for a moment.

If I may say that I almost fainted right now.

"Why you?" Ana was sitting next to me handing me a jumbo-sized iced tea.

"I'm fasting. I've told you three times already." I said then closed my eyes again. Fear is not strong to see the iced tea which is now very tempting faith.

"Sorry, I forgot again." giggled Ana. Sipping iced tea with a deliberately amplified voice. I couldn't help but swallow my saliva bitterly. This child likes to provoke emotions.

"Please take me home, okay? It's not strong." I whispered.

"Of course," said Ana before leaving me to change clothes.

"An, I'll just take a shower at your house, okay?" I shouted before Ana disappeared from behind the wall. And replied with a lazy wave.

Instead of bathing in the narrow school bathroom, I'd rather take a bath in Ana's house, which is big and has a hot shower. Not bad for getting rid of aches after harvesting rice.

If I take a shower using cold water, my fast will be canceled because it's so fresh that I drink water without realizing it.

"Did you get kicked out by your parents to take a shower?" The wet hoarse voice now shatters my imagination of who is enjoying the warm water in Ana's bathroom.

Oh God. can I not be disturbed by this trio of kibul for one day?

The kibul trio the three Caucasian goats, I named them like that because these three cool but restless guys are all Caucasians. There are Jono, who looks like Jack in Titanic, Edi the curly hair, and Ebi, who is crazy about sushi. Typical cool guy in the style of phenomenal Wattpad stories, who are loved by school girls.

To me, they are like creatures from the seventh heaven, the version of Budi's gang. Apart from that the three of them have a sibling relationship or cousin, live in the same house, go to school together, have activities that have one interest, namely making YouTube content and so on that I don't want to know more about. One thing is for sure I am not someone who can fit into their circle.

Indeed, there are no written rules with whom we can make friends and hang out, but we also have to know ourselves and be able to read the circumstances in which we can stand to be ourselves without wearing a pretense mask. After all, Prembun is just a simple and peaceful small sub-district town. Don't be bothered by fancy dramas like TV soap operas.

"Shouldn't I be the one with you?" suggested Ebi who unconsciously was sitting next to me.

"Thank you. I'm already with Ana." I answered lazily. Ebi rarely wants to talk to other people, and that's me? It's not pretentious, but there must be a desire for this child.

"Well, I wanted to see the station."

"What for? You can go there alone with Edi and Jono. Why do you have to be with me?"

"I want to meet my future mother-in-law." I'm Ebi full of appreciation and a serious face that is always serious.

"Hahahahaa... it doesn't suit you like this. Who did you learn from? Andi? Budi?" I swear I laughed out loud when I saw Ebi's face, which was too serious and had a lot of fun just now. And because I'm sure it was just a joke. No less no more.

"It doesn't fit, does it? What did I say, bro, how does Anggi work with that smack move like that?" Ebi competes with Edi who is busy with his camera.

"Who knows a mate," said Edi did not accept being blamed without looking away from the camera he was holding. Busy yourself fiddling with whatever button.

"Okay, see you at Ana's house, okay?" said Jono as he invited his two cousins to leave me alone.

What?!

See you again at Ana's house?

Oh yes, I think Ana once said that their house was a neighbor.

-

"An, how close is your house to Jono?" I asked curiously when we were in the school parking lot. The school atmosphere is still quite crowded because of the harvest earlier.

"Like me, and you," Ana replied with a reassuring look.

"Serious?" I can't believe this. Ana just nodded as not confirming.

"Why? Don't worry, if they're nosy and bother you, just report it to me," added Ana, who was already on her motorbike.

"It's okay. Just curious. Haven't you ever been bullied by them?"

"I have a black belt. They're just cool on the outside, other things will pass. Except for Jono."

That's right, Jono again, Jono again. I'm bored.

Ana does have a black belt in taekwondo, and there is no doubt about her martial arts abilities. Also about basketball. That's also what makes Annalia look cool in my eyes. The ideal type of sibling.

Then the fact that Ana and the Kibul trio are neighbors immediately made me think again about stopping by Ana's house.

"An, I don't think I'm going to your house. Just go home, okay?" My guts suddenly shrank at the thought of the trio's faces.

Maybe because I'm fasting, things get carried away when I usually don't care either.

"I can't, Mom is cooking for you to break the fast." Ana refused, turning the motorbike to the right instead of the left towards the direction of my rented house.

"Yeah, I'm bothering your mother." I regret that I just realized that every time I go to Ana's house, her mother will be excited to serve various types of food and snacks.

"Precisely because Mom is happy. If it's allowed, maybe Mom will ask you to live with me. Even though Mom already has me. The only daughter."

It's true, Annalia is the youngest child as well as the only daughter, her two older brothers are boys. But Ana's behavior is far from feminine, that's why Ana's mother always welcomes me excessively.

And I also have to take responsibility for what I said at school.

As I expected, Ana's mother greeted me with a big smile and hugged me as if forgetting that I still smelled of sweat and hadn't showered.

And as usual, Ana will pretend to be jealous of being treated unfairly by her biological mother. Even though he was really happy, she managed to escape from the trap of his mother, who always demanded Ana be feminine.
