Mu Siyin drooped her eyelids and gave a forced reply. "My phone was on silent mode, so I didn't know."
Shi Beiyu reached his hand out and raised her chin, making her look into his eyes.
As Mu Siyin glared into his flawless amber-colored eyes, she shuddered in her heart.
Shi Beiyu knitted his brows slightly and replied in a soft yet firm tone, "Trust me. I really didn't lie to you last night. I had no choice but to do what I did yesterday. It won't happen again in the future, okay?"
Mu Siyin was on the brink of tearing up. She did not know whether to nod or to remain silent.
He had his own complications, and there was probably nothing he could do yesterday. In fact, he must have gotten yelled at because of her too.
