Kayden was still oblivious of the impending danger as he was already sweating a lot from administering the ointment in the middle of the battlefield.

As Callan's figure descended rapidly, so was Emperor Valentin charging his way to protect Kayden. He used his strongest magic, the blue flame, to immediately throw it toward Callan effectively messing up the other party's plans.
Seeing the searing hot ball of fire charging rapidly across the battlefield, Callan sensed imminent danger from just feeling the intent coming out from the caster, Emperor Valentin. His face clearly showed that Callan had no choice but to face him head-on.
