"Second mission completed"
Mara murmured as she went into the taxi with a satisfied smile, finally she got money from the asshole father. She really meant it when she said she was going to burn down the house if he did not give. She was not joking, she meant her words.
"This is so tiring"
Mara sighed tiredly as she went out of the taxi. Due to going in and out of aircon, Mara got a headache. She stepped into the mall with her glasses on, not paying attention to others who were staring at her. Her Husky was not with her since she was going to the mall.
Husky was left alone in the dog's daycare park where people could leave their dogs for all day. So it was fine to leave her lovely dog because there were people who took care of the dogs for hours. Mara stepped onto the escalator with boredom on her face. She just felt tired.
"She is cute.. and attractive" "I know right! I want to know her phone number. Should I go ask for it?" "Wait, I have seen her before" "Wait really? Who?" "Isn't she Mara Athena? The CEO of 'Reece' company?" "Omg.. tell me that's a joke right now. There is no way she is Mara Athena"
"No, I am pretty sure" "No way! I heard the news about Mara Athena. She was found in the club with a man at midnight two days ago. She is like a snake who is acting like a pure sheep" "But the Mara Athena in front of us is so different. How is that possible?"
Mara glanced at the two men who were whispering loudly like old women. "Annoying gossipers.." she spoke under her breath, those people could not mind their businesses, really nosy. Mara walked into the clothes shop, not caring about the two gossipers.
"Welcome Miss"
The two girls greeted with smiles, not recognizing the woman who was known as a CEO of 'Reece' company. Mara replied with a small smile as she took off her glasses. Her eyes explored the whole shop, she quickly found the high waisted pants and blazers.
"I will take that, that and that. Also this and this too" Mara pointed at the pants and blazers which she wanted. The two girls eyes widened in realization, the woman was not an ordinary woman, the way she pointed at the clothes like a boss told everything.
She must be a wealthy woman. "Yes, Miss" the girls followed after the woman who was searching for best crop tops and dresses. "This, this, this and this. Oh I want that too! And please don't forget that too!" Mara spoke as the girls quickly obeyed, not even hesitating.
"How much?" Mara asked with a stone face. "It is 1095 dollars, Miss" the girl grinned. Mara took out the money from her purse, she gave it to the girl with a small smile. "Here, Miss" the girl handed the bags to the woman with a grin. Mara smiled back and left the shop.
"Wow, she is so beautiful" "Yea, I agree" "She looks so powerful and wealthy" "I agree, she gives me vibes of a business woman" "Damn, I wish I were her" "I should have ask her name, so I can know which wealthy family she comes from" "It is too late now, let's work" "Mmm"
The two girls said as they two looked at the back of the woman with admiration who just walked out of the shop with many bags in her hands confidently. The two girls did not recognize the woman since she looked so different from rumors.
They admired the woman.
Mara went up to the third floor for drinks and snacks. The food was the most important thing in her life beside money. She could not live without food and that was the fact. Mara bought many snacks and drinks which did not cost too much. "Wait a minute.."
Suddenly she stopped walking and looked at the chips bag which caught her attention. "This looks so tasty" Mara drooled over the chips. She grabbed the chips bag and licked her lips. But another chips bag caught her attention. She held the two chips bags while standing in front of the trolley cart.
"What the fuck should I choose?" She furrowed her brows and checked the chips bags carefully. When she could not decide anymore, she bought both. "They are not that expensive anyway" she nodded at her words, putting the two chips bags into the trolley cart.
Mara decided to go back home after finished buying things because the headache was getting worse. She went into the taxi as the taxi driver looked at her in confusion and disbelief. "Are you Mara Athena? The woman who was found in the club with a man at midnight" the man asked.
"Mind your own business and drive before I punch you in the face" the woman's sharp and scary reply made the man zipped his mouth. He turned his attention back to the road and started the engine. Mara furrowed her brows in frustration. The man was making her headache worse.
The car arrived to the park where people could leave their dogs for hours if they were busy all day. Mara went out of the car and gave the money to the man then she stepped into the park with bags in her hands. The taxi driver looked at the woman for the last time and he left.
Since the park was not far away from Mara's house, she decided to walk to her home with the Husky. "Baby!" The sight of her Husky running to her while wagging its tail made Mara grinned immediately. "I missed you!" She knelt down and hugged the dog with the bags in her hands.
"*Woof*" the Husky wagged its tail while a smile was seen on his face. "Let's go back to home!" Mara grabbed the leash and thanked the people for taking care of her dog. She walked towards her house with many bags in her hands while the Husky followed her.
In others eyes, she was struggling.
But the woman did not give up, she continued walking with many bags. She never asked for help in her life because it was the weakness for her. Asking for help was the weakness. The first time where she asked for help was the time where she almost died in front of the club.
"Finally, I am home" Mara smiled in relief. She stepped into the house and put down the bags on the couch, not even able to walk up to her room. The Husky just sat down beside his owner who was sitting on the couch lazily and tiredly. "Why is shopping tiring?" She murmured.
Mara sighed and got up from the couch, walking into her room with heavy steps. She took a quick shower and changed into the comfy set. "Let's rest" she spoke as ruffled the dog's fur with a smile. She lied down on the couch and scrolled through the social media.

The new made Mara frowned tightly. She pressed her lips tightly in annoyance. If the original Mara Athena was a side character, why popular? She rolled her eyes and shook her head. Those gossips could not bother her. She cared for money only because it only mattered.
"I need to fill my freaking stomach"
Mara furiously spoke under her breath as she went into the kitchen. It did not mean she could not cook just because she was a business woman. Ofc, she knew how to cook, how to make money, how to punish those nasty people, how to fight and how to play with men.
She knew everything.
"What should I cook.." she looked into the fridge, she just put the food which she bought from the supermarket, into the fridge so the fridge was full with drinks, vegetables and so on. "Aha!" She shouted happily and took out the pork from the fridge.
She rinsed the rice carefully. Then she added the enough water into the rice cooker along with rice. Then she made the sauce for pork dish. She carefully cut the pork into finger sizes. She was cooking the garlic ginger glazed sticky pork.
Since it was easy to cook and her stomach was asking for food loudly, she decided to cook that. She took a bite of the pork with rice. "Damn it, this is so delicious! I am the perfect woman. I'd wife me" Mara mumbled as she chewed her tasty pork dish.
She fed some meat to her Husky too. Mara was boosting her energy because starting from tomorrow, she had to work at 'Reece' company. She needed to change the behaviors of the employees who never worked like a real employee and stole the money from company.
"I need my beauty sleep"
Mara sighed tiredly and went into her room after watching TV dramas. The time was around 9pm and she was already tired and lazy. "Come here!" She patted the place beside her, calling her a Husky to sleep with her. The Husky did not refuse. They two slept peacefully without any hassle.
