Alyx had no option-- he rather have the other men mad at him than her hating him.
"Yes sir." His secretary replied that he turned his attention to his cellphone.
"AND! Tell her to unblock and call me!"
"Yes sir." When the secretary left, she called Alvan.
"Where are you?"
"I'm with Kane at his office. Rym banned us from her room." He could see Alvan's frowning expression.
"I understand. Have you seen the news regarding Alyana Lawson?"
"We're watching."
"Okay then, bye."
In Kane's office, Alvan sat in his swivel chair while twirling around. Kane, on the other hand, was busy watching the news and his expression showed dissatisfaction.
"Such people who will do tricks under the table to get what they want." Disappointed, the young doctor said and turned off the television, and looked at Alvan.
"How did you manage to irritate her so much? It's been four hours since she banned us." Kane asked and Alvan furrowed an eyebrow in response.
"I just told her not to eat anything that is bad for her. Basically, all she wanted to eat was not good for her health." He explained himself in a grumpy tone.
During the time they were together, Alvan already knew Yanarym's habit and inclination. In every aspect of life, they never had an agreement. They have different tastes; in food, in lifestyle, in genres, in fashion sense, music or arts. They have nothing in common.
They often argue but their quarrel doesn't go as far as shouting and hurting each other--- well, there are other ways of shouting and hurting-- that kind of battle, they do that...
Alvan's smile appeared on his face, because of the memory of the hot and steamy 'fight' between him and Yanarym.
Kane saw Alvan's expression change from a smirk to a mischievous smile and spotted his blushing ears. His forehead wrinkled and he chose to ignore him, even if he didn't ask what Alvan was thinking, he already had the idea. He just didn't know how Alvan's thoughts drifted to something like that.
"I'll check her again," Kane uttered in a dry manner.
"I'll go with you ---"
"No, the one who she hates the most right now is you. You stay here, I'll inform you if she calms down." Kane deliberately emphasized the word 'hate' on Alvan due to irritation.
Alvan frowned, "You, bastard! YOU'RE THE REASON WHY SHE HATES ME! YOU LEFT ME ALONE WITH HER WHEN SHE WAS HUNGRY!" Alvan shouted angrily, Kane grinned in his mind and faced Alvan, stared at him seriously.
Why did she even choose this person? Childish, immature type of person. Is this the greatest actor who is well-known in the world? He doesn't see any qualifications. What he sees is just a type of man leeching to the woman he loves.
"I was checking her stats from my senior to give her medication. That's why I left, your almighty brother is busy avenging Rym to that crazy woman on the news. While, all you do is be with her all day and night, and do nothing to help her. Even when she was not sick she was with you all the time, it's just fair for you to suffer a bit. " He leaned forward and turned his back to Alvan and closed the door.
Alvan took a long time to process what Kane told him. Even though he admits what Kane said was right, he still could not accept that his rival had judged his relationship with Yanarym. So, when he had processed to stone Kane with an insult, he was already alone.
He could do nothing but grin in the door and kick the stand of Kane's white coat in annoyance. "BASTARD!"
By four weeks, the news about Alyana was disappearing. Yanarym does not care about the female lead's welfare anymore. She had already used Alyana full capacity to progress her tasks. Though she's guilty of what's happening to the FL, she can't do anything to help her other than making her alive in the end.
What concerns her is that when Yarisa's miracle has arisen, the foreign doctor that could wake her up was found. Kane personally looked for that doctor in the states, he was abroad for two days for that sole reason.
On the first day she was discharged, the three men insisted on sleeping in her condominium but she was able to evict them in the following days.
Alvan settled Yanarym's controversy that Alyana caused, and confirmed that the reason for her hospitalization was also Alyana. With that, Alyana had another hate wave from the masses, especially from anti-fans. And informed the press that she had to take a break from the entertainment industry longer than anticipated. Because of the psychological trauma she received from the incident.
The allegedly traumatized girl was currently watching a horror movie in the darkness of the living room. She was hugging a gallon of mango and chocolate ice cream and was surrounded by various types of junk foods.
Behind her was Kane who was embracing her waist and resting his cheek on her shoulder, gazing at her affectionately. And occasionally, she would feed him a spoonful of ice cream she's having.
He was out of the country two days ago, busy looking for a solution to her twin. After he saw research regarding Yarisa's condition he immediately sought the doctor who wrote it. He found out that he was acquainted with the said doctor when he was studying for his residency in the states.
He met with the doctor and told him Yarisa's condition and showed her medical records. He was not disappointed, the doctor said that there was a high possibility that she would wake up. But it would take many years of rehabilitation to restore its normal physique.
When he returned to the Philippines, he went straight to her condo and was greeted by her oversized loose white t-shirt, bunned messy hair, and natural face, no make-up on her face, which was beautiful.
