Well, what just happened is that his boyfriend was a very very jealous and possessive person. In that state, his rationality would be tossed out the window. His IQ would instantly go offline and he would do very stupid things.
A perfect example would be now. He came into this bar well known for hosting mostly Bloodgarde members without concealing himself. This meant that his moment of recklessness was captured by passersby who didn't have any ill intentions.
The couple had been taking a midnight stroll hand in hand when they saw the future Marshal carrying a boy over his shoulder. Because of this bar, this neighbourhood was very safe. That's because it was under the protection of the Bloodgarde so they could walk at any time, day or night and still feel safe.
They had taken such romantic strolls a couple of times before but who would have thought this time they would witness such an amazing scene?
