A howl of drunken laughter rising from the men, they clutched their bellies and doubled over from the outburst of their unrestrained amusement. Minding them little as she remained unmoving from her seat, Aribelle placed her elbows on the table. Firm in her resolve, she planted herself adamantly on the wobbly mismatched stool.
Observing the cards on the table slowly, Aribelle discerned, the game to be somewhat akin to Texas hold 'em. Known as Pageot in this world, each player was dealt two cards to the best five card poker hand from the community cards dealt. Typically consisting of stages, in which bets were placed, Aribelle considered her odds seriously as she continued to peer at the deck.
