It took a while for Tiffany to compose herself. Lilly patiently waited for her—something that wasn't easy to do because it was the first she saw Tiffany break down emotionally.
"Are you and Andrei doing okay?" She carefully asked when Tiffany was done fixing her mascara.
It was unnecessary to fix it really. Her mascara was waterproof and it didn't smudge when she cried.
"Sorry, everything was just so overwhelming. The changes…" She met Lilly's eyes making sure that she understood what she was talking about. "I didn't expect college to be this scary. I guess I was so comfortable with you and Susan around me that I panicked when I realized that you two would not be with me in the next four years or so."
Lilly's heart melted. "Tiff," she said in a sweet voice, rubbing her arm. "We are all living in the same city. It just happened that we go to different universities. But, we could always meet up."
