"Why do you look so dejected? Didn't I ask you to go and look for Xia He today? How did it go?" Old Madam Kong asked unhappily.
"I didn't get to see her," Kong Lu replied softly. He only wanted to return to his room to have some peace and quiet and did not want to answer any of Old Madam Kong's questions.
"You didn't get to see her? Why not! I made use of so many connections before finding out that Xia He is flying back today! Do you know how much money I spent! You useless thing! Now that you have missed this chance, you won't get another one!" Old Madam Kong shouted agitatedly.
"She's already married! What can I do!" Kong Lu said.
"So what if she's married? Can't she get a divorce even if she is married? She was so fond of you back then that she even left her family for you! As long as you admit your mistake in a proper manner, she will definitely come back to you!" Old Madam Kong said.
