Chereads / Reborn As A Valkyria / Chapter 12 - Yusa Yukota

Chapter 12 - Yusa Yukota

The next day arrived and everything seemed to calm down. Classes resumed as normal, the Valkyrias were still doing their everyday tasks, but I seemed to have been the topic of the day because of my Fell Energy.

"How do you have Fell Energy? You were beast like when you awakened it, you were just yelling and wildly attacking without a care in the world." Yumeji said as she sat beside me in the diner.

"Yeah that was a bit strange and shocking...What did they do to you in Judgement?" Kikyo asked then ate a french fry.

"What didn't they do to me..? They killed my father, injected me with Fell Energy, betrayed me, killed me...used me. Anything bad you can think of they have done it to me at least once." I answered then looked out the window.

"That's not even the strangest part. Headmaster Yusa knew about your Fell Energy, did you show it to her?" Yumeji asked.

"Nope. No one knew about it except Judgement. I wish to know how she knows me so well and knew about my energy that was only known to Judgement." I sighed a bit.

Yumeji and Kikyo looked at each other then back at me. They noticed I wasn't even eating at all. I was just in deep thought and wanted to know more about Yusa.

"So...how do you know Hisumi? I mean she knows nothing about you, but you know a lot about her plus knew about her Fell Energy. How do you know so much about her?" Sayoko asked.

"Me and her father...had...relations. One thing to note is Hisumi was never female. Hisumi was once a male who turned female." Yusa said.

"So Hisumi is transgender?" Sayoko asked.

"No. She's not trans. It's more like something happened to her to make her switch genders completely and Morata seemed to be the answer. In the midst of the chaos, I heard him say something along the lines that Hisumi was reborn as a female." Yusa said.

"Wait, pump the breaks. How do you know that Hisumi used to be male and what do you mean that you and her father had relations?" Sayoko asked and walked to Yusa's desk.

Yusa looked at Sayoko and moved her eyebrow up and down. "It means exactly what it sounds like. Me and her father...you know.."

"Wait...No." Sayoko gave a nervous chuckle. "No no, you're not telling me what I think you're telling me...you and her father had sex..?!"

"Mhm." Yusa nodded.

"And...no...You're Hisumi's biological mother..?!" Sayoko said in shock.

"Mhm." Yusa said more slowly, nodding her head. "Obviously after she was born, I wasn't able to take care of her. Her father's and my morals didn't align. We were in disagreement on what was best for Hisumi since Judgement was about, but he was Pro-Judgement. I was against Judgement. He ended up taking her away from me and marrying a different woman and letting that Judgement woman take care of Hisumi's and they did some horrendous shit to my child."

"Like giving her Fell Energy.." Sayoko said then groaned. She walked around with her hands on the top of her head. "What happened? Why are you against Judgement in specific? Why was her father killed? Where is her step mother?"

"I'm against Judgement because of their plans to make their Commander a God. If Judgement wins, Earth as we know it is gone for good. They work sporadically, they have irregular patterns. We can never pinpoint them, but soon we will be able to pinpoint them and destroy them. I'll kill that commander with my bare hands..." Yusa said.

"What about her father? Why was he struck down?" Sayoko asked.

"He betrayed Judgement. He injected himself with Sacred Energy, but since his body never could adapt to it he wasn't able to harness such energy. He could transfer the energy and that day he called me, wanting to meet me at St. Fraskia...I turned him down. He took my child from me and allowed everything bad to happen to her. He even did some bad to Hisumi. He deserved the punishment he got, but no one ever told Hisumi. For three years she's been in the dark and now she's going to avenge a man who barely cared about her." Yusa sighed and sat back in her chair.

"You aren't going to stop her? She needs to know the truth. She's fighting Judgement for the wrong reasons." Sayoko said.

"And have her against me as well? Have her thinking I abandoned her? It's better she thinks I'm some stranger than her knowing I am her mother. That's why I acted like I didn't know her. Why I acted treated her like everyone else in this academy." Yusa said.

"She deserves to know, Yusa. You can't continue like this...You're going to be hurting as much as she is the more you keep it in." Sayoko said then got a call from Yumeji and looked at her phone. "My sister needs me. Just think about it alright?"

Yusa watched Sayoko leave her office then turned around in her chair and looked at the city of Fraskia. "I can't tell her...I can't risk the trust I already have with her..If only her deadbeat parents were better, we wouldn't be in this fucked up situation...No one even knows where her mother is even at. She just disappeared the day he died. Fuck...I don't have many options do I..?" Yusa sighed and stood up then walked out of her office.

I walked along the track while the others were running. I couldn't get the idea of everyone knowing about my Fell Energy and the idea that I might know Yusa, but everything is so fuzzy. Orishi looked at me and walked over to me then held my shoulder.

"Hisumi. What's the matter? You seem more out of it than ever. Is anything wrong?" Orishi asked.

"I don't know. Just everything about my entire situation. I just want to talk to Yusa and get some answers on how she knew information only Judgement knew about. It doesn't make sense to me at all, and I don't know what to do." I answered and stopped walking.

Orishi looked at me and rubbed the back of her head then took out her phone to call Yusa. She heard Yusa's phone ringing then looked to her right. "Yusa."

"Can I take Hisumi from you for a bit? I want to talk with her in private." Yusa said.

"Ah sure, in fact she wanted to speak with you as well. You arrived just in time." Orishi nodded and looked at me then back at Yusa.

Yusa nodded and looked at me. I looked at her and followed her back to the academy building and we walked inside together.

"I've never noticed it before...but Hisumi does have her looks...Hm.." Orishi crossed her arms. She turned back around then clapped her hands. "Keep it up ladies! Hustle! Hustle!"

Yusa and I sat in her office and I looked at her while she looked at her desk. I looked around a bit and noticed a lot of photos of past Valkyrias. I decided to get up and take a look around and looked at all of the pictures.

"Even when you were young, you seemed to be the head honcho." I smiled a bit then looked at more pictures. "Looks like you're the leader of the World Mark...There's a younger Orishi, who used to control the Ice Element...and Saito here...Sayoko as well."

"The World Mark existed way before LIONS and the Anti-Anarchy as well as the Valkyrias. It was the very first organization I made to combat the early stages of Judgement...you wouldn't have known that since...it was before you were born." Yusa said as she watched me walk around the office more.

I continued to look at the different pictures then stopped at one picture of Yusa and my father. I froze and quickly grabbed the picture looking surprised. My eyes widened when I saw them kissing each other. "Yusa...what is this? You knew my father..?"

"It was only a matter of time before you found it." Yusa said.

"A-And this picture next to it..! You holding...a child..." I set the photo in my hand down then picked up the other picture. "Wait...no...that's me, but that can't be true. You can't be...My mother looks nothing like this! You aren't..."

"Hisumi, it's time for you to know why I know so much about you. You're 19 now...and it is time for you to know the truth about everything." Yusa said then stood up.

I looked at Yusa and set down the picture. I shook my head and walked away. "Dad said you abandoned us. He said you just gave me away.."

"I never did! He took you away from me." Yusa walked towards me.

"And I'm supposed to believe some woman I've never met before in my life?! Where have you been this entire time?! Do you know what the fuck they've done to me before I became...THIS?! I was a living experiment for those bastards! My father and my mother were my saving grace from all of that.." I said and shook my head. "You left me there...you just allowed me to suffer.."

"I didn't allow you to do shit!" Yusa yelled and looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. "I tried to get you away from your deadbeat parents! Away from Judgement, but HE insisted that you stay! HE insisted that you're where you belong...HE got his own self killed! He decided to betray Judgement! HE decided to betray our love...He left you with a woman...who could barely care for you. She left you alone. All you had left was the most corrupt people you could think of and all I could do from that point was watch as you become one of them. I never wanted you to be with them...I wanted you with me."

I looked at Yusa and looked down.

"Hisumi...listen. I'm sorry for raising my voice at you.." Yusa said then hugged me and rubbed my hair. "All I wanted was for you to just be happy...I want to help you complete your goals, but you've got to fight for the right reasons. I don't want you to fight for a man that got you into this mess. I want you to fight against Judgement to break from those chains...I want you to stay with us and join Squad VI of the Fraskia Assembly. You may never see me as your biological mother, but you can see me as your ally and someone you can trust. I promise, you won't have to worry about being betrayed with us. We will be there for you all the way. You will get the revenge you deserve."

I embraced her and closed my eyes. "Will you help me get rid of my Fell Energy..?"

"Of course...It will take some time, but we will get rid of it. I promise." Yusa said and looked at me.

I nodded and we let each other go. She held my shoulders and smiled, happy she got it all off her chest. I looked at her and gave a slight smile back and now was rethinking everything. I still loved my father, but after hearing the truth...I knew what I had to do. Yusa let me go and watched me walk out of the office then she sighed in relief. She turned around and looked out the window. She closed her eyes and smiled to herself then went over to view the reports sent to her by the Student Council about the news on the Midnight Corps.
