I woke up and sat up on my bed then touched myself. I was surprised to still be alive. I got out of bed and decided to get ready for class. After getting ready, I walked to the front and noticed Kikyo cooking breakfast and Yumeji watching TV.
"Good morning." I said.
Kikyo looked at me and smiled then looked back at her cooking. "Good morning. Waffles and eggs for breakfast today."
"Sounds good." I smiled then went to sit on the couch and sigh.
"Good morning, B Ranker." Yumeji smiled at me.
"Eh? What are you talking about?" I asked.
"You didn't get the announcement from Headmaster Yusa or my sister?" Yumeji asked.
"Nah, my phone was fried yesterday at the concert when Demon Order attacked. I need to get a new one." I sighed and looked at the TV.
"Yumeji was really excited when Headmaster Yusa said that she promoted you to B Rank. We heard about your sparring match against her, surprised you woke up as early as you did. You are the first to actually spar against her in a long time." Kikyo said then turned off the stove then began to fix our plates.
"In other news an organization called the Midnight Corps have taken down more members of the Demon Order. Their leader, Yonaka, has some special words for all the citizens." The news reporter said.
"People of Yukihori and Yahoma, do not worry! We have handled the threat for the most part. The Demon Order won't be hurting you all any longer, but I do want to say that the Valkyrias in St. Fraskia should be careful. Judgement has a slight guess of where you are. The offer still stands Yusa, we can form an alliance and take down the enemy together." Yonaka said.
Kikyo frowned a bit and set down our plates then grabbed the remote from the table and switched the channel then tossed the remote on the couch. "We will never ally with someone like her.."
I grabbed my plate and looked at Kikyo. "Why? She seems like a good person, her team saved my home and the City of Yahoma. She seems solid."
"Yeah on the outside. She's actually a part of an organization my traitorous father is a part of." Kikyo said.
"You mean the Anti-Overlord Team?" Yumeji asked.
"No the other one." Kikyo answered.
"Oh...That one. The Anarchy." Yumeji sighed.
"Anarchy? Who are they?" I asked.
"Their goal is to destroy the 12 Divine Weapons and the Two Keys of Sovereigns. Despite there being twenty Rulers, only twelve of them have created Divine Weapons and the other eight only made Legendary Weapons. The Anarchy hates the Rulers, Overlords, and the Sovereigns. They claim that they are the reason this world is ruined. When my father took light that I was able to become a Ruler, he abandoned me." Kikyo said as she angrily ate her food.
"St. Fraskia has a lot of enemies, but we have a lot of allies such as members of the Anti-Anarchy and the World Mark. It's always nice to have people stand with us, for the longest time we were alone in this fight against Judgement." Yumeji explained. "The Midnight Corps also known as the MC, is no different. We have a common enemy and that's the only thing keeping them from attacking. The scary part is they know where we are located."
I nodded and looked at the TV then the alarm on Kikyo's phone rang. The three of us gobbled down our breakfast then got up to hurry out the dorm room and headed straight for the academy. We headed to the main office and I was able to get a replacement phone. We then headed to the classroom and I was a bit nervous, but also excited. I was a bit worried about Orika though even if it has been only three days. We walked into the classroom together and I looked around. I noticed Saito in her battlesuit. She had blue and black bunny ear like accessories in her hair, a blue dress with a numerous of black embellishments, black fingerless gloves and her legs shined black insinuating black thigh high socks.
I also noticed another girl who stood beside Orishi at the front of the class. She had on a black long sleeve qipao with a gold phoenix design on the side, black leggings, and wore black leather boots. Her skin was pale and her eyes shined a dark blue. Her hair was darker blue with black highlights and was styled in one long braid with a knife tied to the end of her braid.
"That's our class rep, monitor, and student council president. Her name is Liao Ru. She's Chinese and is a descendant of the old Dynasty Hero named Long Zhihou. Currently the battlesuit you see her in is called the Black Phoenix. She is a part of an organization called the LIONS. It is an acronym for Liao Ru, Ieyasu Umeji, Orishi Ashikaga, Nicholas Doomsday, and Silent Fox." Yumeji explained.
Orishi sat at her computer and filed a few reports before getting up and looking at us. "We are waiting on our last student to arrive. She is going to be a bit late to arrive once again. In the meantime, take your seat and let us get the morning lessons out the way. Also welcome, Hisumi Ishida, we are happy to accept you in the class."
I nodded and sat in the open seat beside Saito and she looked at me then smiled. Her attention was focused back on Orishi. The classroom door opened and a woman walked in the classroom. I looked back and noticed the woman's appearance. She had on a white and red kimono with a red ribbon bow tied around her waist. Her hair was a light pink and tied in a low side ponytail, her eyes were a magenta color and she carried a katana on her side.
"You finally made it Misao Fukui. What's new?" Orishi asked.
"Ran into some Demon Order members when getting on the train. Luckily I handled them with the help of the MC." Misao said then took her seat.
"I see, this is why we offered you a dorm room earlier. But, it is your choice to live on campus. Now before we get the lessons underway, I forgot Yusa was supposed to be coming to the class with a special announcement, but it seems she's running a bit late so for now let us get the lessons out the way while we can." Orishi said then Liao took her seat.
This class was a lot different from the class Alice taught. Orishi went over battle tactics and Energy Control rather than elements and basic uses of energy. She taught us on how to maximize our energy usage safely in battle and how to get stronger and increase our base power level. She even taught us how to build our own battlesuit which helps with controlling Elemental Energy. I took notes on how to make the battlesuits because heaven knows I needed one.
As she taught, Yusa entered the classroom and Orishi noticed her. She stopped teaching and Yusa walked to the front of the classroom. Yusa looked at all of us and looked at me. I looked back at her and remembered our battle on the St. Fraskia bridge. I looked down a bit then looked back up at Yusa.
"Good morning B Rank Valkyrias. I have come with some important news regarding the future of the Valkyrias and our academy. If you haven't seen the news, I will briefly go over what's happening. Judgement has caught light of where we are located, but if you know about this academy you would know that is virtually impossible. The only ones who know of our location are the LIONS, Midnight Corps, and the World Mark as well as the Anti-Anarchy." Yusa started.
"They might've been able to track me since my phone was fried for a day. Like you said, I have slight Fell Energy within me, so within the time my phone was broken, they could've tracked me once again...and that might be how they found us?" I said.
"Unlikely." Orishi said. "If that were the case, they should've been found us even before you registered with us."
"The only logical solution we have is that there is a traitor in the academy. A Judgement Spy. If we don't catch the traitor soon, our academy could be in grave danger and this would be the end of St. Fraksia." Yusa said.
"A traitor. Who would do such a thing?" I asked.
"It can't be none of us, nor any of the A Rank Valkyrias. The only two S Ranks are you and my sister..so it has to be someone from the C and D Rank Valkyrias." Yumeji said.
"We need you six to interrogate all the C Rank and D Rank Valkyrias. Find the traitor..and eliminate her." Yusa said. "Hisumi, come with me. I will help you obtain your first battlesuit."
"Alright." I nodded and stood up.
The others got up and rushed out of the classroom to go do some interrogation. Orishi watched and closed her eyes then sighed. Yusa looked at her and back ahead.
"A traitor at an academy like this one. Who would've saw the day that this would happen?" Orishi asked the took out a cigarette.
"It would be the perfect time to strike while we were occupied with the Demon Order, but to be as stupid as to target St. Fraskia...they have the gall to target us without thinking of the consequences...Foolish." Yusa said. "If push comes to shove, we would have to ally with the MC."
"Yeah and have the world think we are Anti-Ruler and shit like that? No I will cut my losses and stick with my alliances. Allow Hisumi to join Squad VI of the Fraskia Assembly. I refuse to ally with someone like Yonaka and her adjacent Yae Kanbayashi. We will stop Judgement ourselves." Orishi said.
"Alright...make sure to contact LIONS if things get bad." Yusa said.
"You know I will." Orishi nodded.
