After watching his sister to sleep, Bai Qi went into his study and switched on his laptop. His mentor wanted him to assist him in that surgery and there were a lot of things that he have to study before the day.
On his desk were a few books that he had borrowed from his mentor.
Bai Qi was browsing through the book when the phone on his desk buzzed. While keeping his eyes on the thick book, Bai Qi reached to take the phone. He glanced at the notification before looking at the book again.
A few seconds later, his movement stopped.
He turned to look at his phone again and held it with both hands.
The name on the phone stunned him.
He tried not to blink for fear that the name would disappear and everything would only be his imagination.
Taking a deep breath, Bai Qi swiped his finger on the phone and read the message again and again. Her question was simple, but Bai Qi was worried that he might miss some important words.
