When she got into her room, she sat on her bed thinking of what Wei Yang said to Her.
Five years ago when she first met Wei Yang in middle school, she was surprised at how Wei Yang and her grandmother looked So much alike.
When she got home, she asked her grandmother who was already sick and refused to stay at the hospital if two people without blood relations and different generation can be identical. She told her it was not possible. That was when she was convinced that Wei Yang was from the Lu family, but she didn't know which branch of the Lu she belong. She intended to tell her mom and dad about Wei Yang, but her cousin Lu Rong stopped her.
She and Lu Rong has been friends since childhood. Lu Rong was two years older than her. When she told Lu Rong about Wei Yang and the fact that she wanted to tell her parents, Lu Rong laughed at her and called her stupid.
"You want to bring your parents real child home? Really! Lu Yan, why are you so stupidly cute?" She held her fleshy cheeks and pulled them. Her cheeks got red from being pulled and she slapped her hands away.
"Stop it, it hurts. What do you mean by my parent's child? I was never told I had a twin sister" she said innocently.
Lu Rong sighed and patted Lu Yan on the head. "My dear cousin, why are you so naive? Take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Do you look like your parents in anyway?"
Lu Yan shook her head.
"Good you are aware. It means you are not uncle and Aunty's daughter."
Lu Yan jumped from her sit and shouted."Lu Rong! Stop spouting nonsense. I won't be friends with you anymore. I hate you now" she stumped her foot hard on the floor, scoffed and left angrily.
Lu Rong sneered at her disappearing back.
"Do you think I like you too? Father was right. Stupid fake heiress."
Later that day, Lu Rong went to apologize to Lu Yan, but that didn't mean she stopped pestering her with her theories of why she wasn't her uncle and aunt's real child.
Until she forced Lu Yan into believing it. Then brainwashed Lu Yan into believing that her mom and dad would abandon her when they find out she was not their real child.
The scared Lu Yan gave in to Lu Rong's deceit and hid Wei Yang's existence from her parents.
As if that wasn't enough, Lu Rong convinced the naive girl into making life difficult for Wei Yang in school in hopes that Wei Yang would find it unbearable and leave the school.
She explained that the day her parents will come to school and accidentally meet Wei Yang will be the end for Lu Yan.
Lu Yan followed her advice and started making life a living hell for Wei Yang. Not knowing that Lu Rong was making preparations for the big drama that would unfold in the future.
She spread malicious rumor about Wei Yang without revealing herself as the culprit. She made the students believe she was being bullied by Wei Yang even without them talking and it continued till high school.
You are probably wondering how she does that right? Well, she has the characteristics of a white lotus. She didn't need to do or say anything. Her facial expressions and body language while standing close to Wei Yang is enough for her fans to believe she was being bullied.
Even though she ruined Wei Yang's image in school, Wei Yang never fought back. She knew who was harming her reputation, but she didn't care.
At first she thought by having bad reputation in school and also having fitful results, her parents would notice her and be nice to her. She might be powerful and knowledgeable, but she was still a child at heart who needed to be shown love and affection.
Her parents did notice, but things got worse. That was how Madam Xu came with the idea of having her stop schooling before Wei Yang Went for scholarship instead of spending her own money which he wouldn't be able to explain how she got.
At some point Lu Yan got tired of it, she also started feeling sorry for Wei Yang, but Lu Rong wouldn't have that. She kept on pushing her until now.
Lu Yan sighed and place her head in her palm. She didn't know if Lu Rong made her do all these things in the past because she really cared for her, but now she would no longer listen to her.
She went to bed in low spirit. Feeling regrets over all she did to Wei Yang.
