The sea was starting to get turbulent again. The whirlpools started to swirl around slightly, pulling their boat closer.
Raven skillfully rowed the boat escaping out of its fiery grip. "Shoes, that's on the list. Then do you want something else? Human food. Kiran seems to enjoy eating candies.. should we buy that for him? Or is it bad for him…"
"Candies are good in moderate amount…" Nicolai slightly frowned as he peered at the distant island.
"What is it?"
"I don't know…. I have this weird feeling in my gut… something is not right…." He whispered patting his chest. From the moment he got on this boat, his stomach has been jittery. He somehow felt like he was about to faint.
There was also a very subtle scent of cedar wood…
"Are there.. are there cedar wood trees in our island?" panting he peered at Raven.
"As far I know, no. we don't have any." He whispered with a worried look on his face. "are you feeling good?"
"I feel faint…"
The boat they had was very small and they had no space to actually sit. The vampires had put up a small plank to sit on. it was uncomfortable to sit on.
Nico slightly wobbled from side to side unsteadily
"Sit down," Raven hurriedly held him sit down on the floor of the boat. He hurriedly took out their metal water bottle from their small storage unit and handed it to him. "drink,"
Nico took a small sip. The water doesn't seem to help.
'thump thump…. thump thump…'
The feeling of blood rushing to his heart. his heart that had been laying dormant in his body started to beat so fast.
'thump thump thump…'
it was so loud.. he could barely hear the crashing waves. Only the sounds of that heartbeat and that cedar wood scent filled his senses.
'thump thump thump…'
"What happened Nico?" Raven worriedly cupped his face.
"My human heart.. it suddenly decided to beat…." Nicolai patted his chest. His heart was beating very slowly. But the heartbeat he was listening to was very fast. It was strong and very fast….
Six months ago when he found out he had lost his father, his heart had stopped,
but now all of a sudden it started beating violently. It felt restless and weird.
Raven placed a hand on his chest. "Did you eat anything… you said you had indigestion right… maybe that's why…"
"Indigestion doesn't magically start my human heart, Raven.. …. something's wrong.. can we go back…" he laid his head on the wooden plank behind him.
Nicolai took a deep breath calming himself. The last time his heart beat this weirdly he found out he had lost his dad
"Sure," hurriedly Raven rowed the boat in the direction of the island but since they were moving against the waves, they were much slower.
Back on the island
Killian had found out the four kids that had run off into the forest. They were all hiding on treetops peering down at him. Sighing he climbed up and reached out to them. "sorry I was ordered to capture you guys. We won't hurt you in any way. We just need to make sure Nico comes after you guys,"
Like slippery snakes, the four little kids kept jumping off from one branch to another.
Killian was more than tired. He had one hour of rest the last day and here he was chasing after little kids. They tired him out the most.
It was a struggle to get them down there. The two ten year looking kids sobbingly accepted their fate but the young ones were the ones who fought tooth and nail.
The little black-haired vampire bit into his arm.
"Ow that hurts…" he grabbed onto his back collar and lifted him up like a feral beast. The young kid pet moving around trying to take a chomp again.
Killian peered at his arm. There were two huge gaping holes. But his werewolf body healed at a much faster rate. His wounds disappeared in front of his eyes.
"Enough kid. I don't mean any harm. We are going to help you out.'
"What is it?" Dylan came close. From his shining golden green eyes, Killian knew that his wolf was in control.
Alpha wolf just peered at the young vampire with an apprehensive look. "He smells like him too." He gently grabbed his waist and lifted him up over his head.
"Let go! Let go of me! I swear I will bite your head off!!" the kid kicked and screamed.
Dylan silently looked at him. "Get the other ones. The waves are starting to get turbulent." He said casually, carrying the kid away.
"Don't you dare touch my brother! I will kill you! I will kill you all!!!" the kid screamed so loudly.
Killian sighed. He grabbed the other twin. The smaller-looking black-haired kid was in fact a human/ he did not fight back at all, he silently sobbed.
"It's okay. We won't hurt you I swear on my honor," he whispered gently, wiping the tears off his cheek.
The young kid whimpered. "y-you all lie… I hate werewolves…"
Once again, Killian was left in despair. "Dylan, do we have to do this! we can just wait here. Obviously your mate lives here. If we wait, he can come to us."
"Not here. He knows this place too well. He can easily slip out of my hand." He said in a very coarse voice.
Alpha wolf sounded so agitated and irritated. "Why do these guys smell like him? do they roll together or something? Fuck… I barely get to smell my mate and here these ones are sleeping together," he gently lifted the kid up.
The young vampire glared down at him. "You're a monster,"
"Yes, I am. A very powerful one. And I am your Nico's mate. He loves you right…" he looked at the others that were captured and the ones in his arms. "I'm going to assume he does… he has to come and get you,"
"Dylan…. I don't think it's a good plan. He's your mate. You might scare him,"
"I know him! he.. he will not come to me on his own accord. He will run... these six here are his restraints. As long as I have them he will come.. and he will live with me… if I have these vampires with us."
"Dylan," Killian walked close.
"Wolfie, call me Wolfie," he growled.
The whole island trembled violently.
"Y-yes Wolfie… what you're doing is going to chasse your mate away. I don't approve of this idea,"
"I don't need your approval," the wolf scoffed. "load them up in our ship. Oh and leave a message so that my beloved mate can find us,"
Killian stood tether slightly annoyed. The young blond vampire that he met first in the island was still tied to the ground, whimpering. "It's going to be fine… it's going to be fine.."
With a small charcoal piece, he swiftly wrote on the Hut.
"Your friends are with us. Come to the pack to find them Nico…."
Killian looked at it with a frown. 'What do I sign as? Dylan or Alpha king?'
not many people know of the Alpha king's name. Only the betas and the other important pack member are privy to that information.
After a moment of struggle, he chose the correct option. "Underscore Alpha king," he mumbled as he wrote on the all.
"Are you done?" Wolfie shouted.
"Done." He gently lifted the vampire next to him on his free arm. the young teenage vampire simply whimpered and sobbed. "God what the hell is he doing..."
