"Are you really being serious?", she asked with a lot of doubt after a while. She also thought what if the guy was messing with her just because she said she couldn't remember anything.
He looked at her for a second and said, "You are a deeply mistrusting person and I respect that. Then, probably it would have been very difficult for me too to trust these words coming from anyone if I wouldn't have my memories of witnessing those sorts of things."
It really looked like he was not making fun of her so she gathered some courage then asked him, "Does everyone here has some kind of powers?"
"Most probably yes" ,he replied.
When she heard his reply and a thought popped in her mind suddenly, 'Does he also have powers?'
"I know what you are thinking."
Hearing that she guessed on her own that maybe he could read minds.
"I have better strength, speed and reflexes than a normal human being", he said immediately not to let her imaginations run wild.
"You might also have such powers I guess it is just that you can't remember",he continued.
Her brain was trying to comprehend all these informations but there was a huge doubt still present on her mind. She was having a really hard time believing all these things when she hadn't really seen anything with her own eyes.
Till now she hadn't noticed anything strange with herself so it was safe to say that the probability of her having any kind of superpower was less likely.
"Why didn't you talk to me after coming back?Where did they take you?", she asked wondering his weird behavior on entering the room.
"Hold on! hold on! Can you stop with all these questions? I can't answer you so many questions at once. One question a time, please!", saying that he took a long sigh and further said, " For the place they took me it was in the room across the corridor and for the reason me not talking to you is that it seems they were watching us talking this morning, saw you distressed and wanted to know what I had told you for your expression to be like that."
"So, what did you answer?", she concerningly asked as it was because of her he got into trouble.
"Of course, don't worry I just told them that I only asked your name" ,he replied as he assumed she was scared that she will get into trouble.
"You should go to your bed before anyone sees that you are missing" ,he covered his face with the thin blanket after saying that.
