Hua Tianshu sighed in relief as he pulled his hand away and spoke, "He's not dead."
"He is," Bai YiJun argued.
"He has a pulse. His heart is still beating."
Bai YiJun nodded his head as he heard this and looked down at his legs as he spoke, "He has a beating heart but no soul. He's nothing more than a breathing corpse."
Hua Tianshu gulped as he heard this. He had already guessed that Bai Guanyu would be in such a state, but he didn't reveal this to Bai YiJun.
Bai YiJun was still unaware of how much Hua Tianshu knew and so, he felt a little guilty about it as he revealed, "I might not have been completely honest with you, Brother Hua."
Hua Tianshu wanted to hear what the man had to say so he simply nodded his head as he asked, "Honest about what?"
