Chapter 101 - The Truth

Mr Books looked up at a cold-faced judge who gazed at him with apathetic eyes. The eyes looked familiar but in his fear, he could not remember where he saw them before. The judge's voice was cold as he said.

"Confess your sins and your punishment may be lenient."

Mr Books shook in fear, he swallowed involuntarily at the congregation of spirits that filled the hall.

He shivered as an indescribable chill filled every corner of the hall. Mr Books thought back at his life and all the scenes that came unbidden in his, his heart was filled with regret. 

He did not want to go to Tartarus, he did not want to be tortured. If he had a chance, he would never do anything evil in his life again.

"When I was seven, I stole meat from the town kitchen. I had an affair. I…" Xaloc watched as the man ported out everything that he had even done wrong in his life, from the smallest grievance to slightly bigger things. He was not concerned about such things.
