Chapter 135 - The Trial

William's face lit up as he opened the fifth door to the innermost prison. He looked at the guards and gave a nod before moving to the cage.

"I made that myself. Won't you eat it? It might be your last meal" He said smiling.

Xaloc shifted to look at him, the shackle on his hands jingling slightly.

"Your trial has started. I hope you don't mind. I volunteered to escort you."

The moment the words left William's mouth, Xaloc regarded him coldly. His gaze was very intense and frighteningly cold making William feel like he had been stripped bare before those black, silent eyes.

"Scary!" He said, shivering a little but not at all, afraid. The chains that wrapped Xaloc's wrists were no ordinary chains, they made Aether hard to grasp and utilize. Not that Xaloc had enough Aether to attack this stranger, the little he had was just enough for him to breathe and keep himself alive. He could not even kill a rat.
