"And now for tonight's main event," Ambrosia finally announced, bringing a hush over those in the ballroom.

Everyone had been dancing, enjoying themselves, snacking on hors d'oeuvres and blood wine, concern over the petals above them finally fleeing as the night went on and they didn't have any more reason to fear the fae sitting with the royal family. It almost seemed like she was forgotten completely, and Cora puzzled over this.

Vampires were so odd. Did it have to do with their perspective on time? Time was so different for them. This royal ball was nothing but the smallest blip, merely a grain of sand amongst all the countless moments of their existence that could fill an entire beach or an entire globe full of beaches.
