Chapter 51 - Despair

Gia sprinted out of the tree and knocked over David who was standing directly in front of it, staring at it intensely as if he could make his sister and Theo appear by his will alone. 

"Gia!" He exclaimed, sheer relief coming over him. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you." 

The wild did not leave her eyes, and once she was back on her four paws she kept running without looking back. 

"Gia!" He called, torn between running after her or staying at the tree to wait for Theo. His curiosity and desire for answers won out, and he turned tail to follow her. 

"Gia, wait up!" He yelled, but she wasn't slowing down. He had to tear into his wolf to catch up to her, and even then it was difficult. 

His sister was fast. If she were as physically large as he was, she would be faster, but David at least had that advantage. He pounced on her, rolling over her into the dirt and receiving a growl.
