It was a question that seemed to stick in his mind since she had asked him that earlier. He never believed in love despite what his grandfather said about his relationship with his grandmother.
Growing up with parents who never knew how to love was his perfect example that it did not exist. It was an illusion that man used to manipulate another person. It was a lie that blinded many people from the truth.
"What do you mean?" Luisa asked, looking dumbfounded by his answer. He finally stood up and moved away from her. Was he that desperate for her to forgive him? Maybe.
Was it not evident that she had him wrapped around her fingers? He should have let her go, but he could not. He could not seem to stay away from her, no matter how much he tried.
