A hard knock on her door reverberated in her apartment, but she was not expecting anyone. Noreen just left her apartment a few minutes ago. Maybe she forgot something and decided to come back.
She ran across her tiny living room, avoiding her packed luggage. Yes, she had finally finished putting everything she thought she would need on this trip. She hardly had much, so it was not that hard.
As if she had any choice either as she reflected on the few options she had in terms of clothing, shoes, and other stuff. Maybe she could buy a few more things once she reached their destination. After all, Jennifer said she would receive a handsome allowance on this trip.
