His thought broke when he heard Ashley's sleepy voice. "Tristan, you came?" she mumbled slowly opening her eyes and looked his way.
Swiftly composing himself Tristan heaved a gentle smile and walked towards the bed before sitting next to Ashley. His hand tenderly caressed her hair and he said," Did you sleep well?"
The moment their eyes met, he sensed the worry in her eyes and he quickly leaned closer and kissed her lips.
"I couldn't find you closer to me earlier" Ashley mumbled against their parted lips as she watched him slowly pull back a little having a better view of his face.
Ashley had woken up from her sleep when she lack his warmth and found the space next to her empty. She wanted to look for him but was too tired to get up and ended up falling asleep once again.
"I was with dad," he muttered adoring her with soft eyes.
