Wang Zhongyun touched his bald head and took some time to snap back to reality. He grinned and looked into the girl's clear watery eyes.
He praised her sincerely, "Ahem! You did well. You didn't miss a single word! Very impressive!"
As soon as he started clapping, the other students erupted as well. Some tapped their hands on their desks and others whistled, making so much noise that it could almost blow the roof off.
"Stop, stop, stop! Everyone stop!" Wang Zhongyun glared at the students before him. If you were, at least, half as outstanding as Qin Yan, then I could die in peace!"
Everyone pouted their lips and pretended not to hear a thing. If they could do it, would they be allocated to Class Four?
Afterward, Wang Zhongyun taught more enthusiastically. Every now and then, he would ask Qin Yan to answer his questions. It wasn't until the class ended that he realised that he had got a treasure in Qin Yan.

There was no more trouble for Qin Yan that day. All the students of her new class started to admire her in some way. Although nobody came to speak to her because of her looks, the sarcastic comments also stopped somehow.
After the school was over, Qin Yan decided to walk back to her house. She met Qin Muran on the way, "Sister, where are you going?" Qin Muran raised her voice to ask.
"Home."
"Our home is more than ten kilometres away from school. How do you plan on going there?"
"There's no need for you to worry about me," Qin Yan responded indifferently and continued walking.
"Sister, you can come with us in the car. Otherwise you'll be too tired to reach the house," Qin Muran advised.
"Muran, you're really too kind. Your sister is jealous of you and wishes to snatch everything from you. Yet you're still so considerate of her." Yang Lin who was sitting beside Qin Muran began to feel angered at the thought. "Hasn't she taken a good look at herself in the mirror? With her disgustingly fat figure, how could she compare to you?"
"No matter what, she's still my sister." Qin Muran put on a helpless expression and successfully won over Yang Lin's sympathy.
'This fatso is trying to reduce weight! No, I need to stop this!' Qin Muran thought.
Qin Muran was determined to prevent Qin Yan from gaining a skinny figure. She had the driver steer the car near Qin Yan and lowered the window. She then called out to Qin Yan.
Qin Yan paused in her footsteps and turned to look over. "Qin Muran, what do you need?"
Qin Muran stopped the car by the sidewalk before speaking up. "Look at you! You're drenched in sweat due to all this walking. Quickly come in. I'll give you a ride to home."
"There's no need to trouble you." Qin Yan rejected her in an aloof manner and resumed her walking.
Qin Muran called out to her. "It's still several kilometres away from home!"
Qin Yan turned to look at her. "Muran, if I work out for two hours in the morning and walk ten kilometres after, I'll be able to lose a few hundred grams a day. There's really no need to trouble you to give me a ride."
Upon hearing this, Qin Muran felt as though there was a needle in her throat. "You can take your time in losing weight. There's no need to rush. I'll worry if you jog for such a long distance."
Did Qin Yan think she really wanted to give her a ride? She simply wanted to make her walk less to slow down her weight loss.
Qin Yan ignored her and entered a supermarket to get some refreshing drinks.
Qin Muran saw this and heaved a sigh of relief. 'It seems that this fatso is just pretending to get slim. Even if she runs ten kilometres and then has these aerated drinks, there is no way she would lose weight!'
"Hahaha, I knew this ugly bitch wouldn't be able to get slim. She is so stupid," Yang Lin exclaimed happily, "Muran, Let's go."
After Qin Muran went away, Qin Yan slowly walked out of the supermarket. It was just a pretense of her to successfully evade Qin Muran. She wanted to have some peace while walking and she also needed to show her sister that she was not serious about weight loss to avoid unnecessary troubles.
