Chapter 5 - Scared Me To Death

The master and the rabbit looked at each other for a while in confusion. Turning their heads to look into the store, they saw that the people inside couldn't help but flinch when they saw Zhu Lin and Tu Tu looking at them. In their eyes, Zhu Lin, who was covered in blood, was like a demon from hell. Coupled with Tu Tu's red eyes, the two of them looked super scary at the moment.

Seeing the fear in those people's eyes, Zhu Lin helplessly said, "Well... It seems that we have to find another place tonight."

Tu Tu nodded and said, "It seems that this is our only choice now."

When those people saw Tu Tu nodding and moving its petal-like mouth as if talking, they suddenly screamed in fright.

Startled by their sudden screams, Zhu Lin patted her heart and said, "The human beings in this world are too scary. Their screams could scare people to death."

Tu Tu agreed with Zhu Lin's words, clenched its little heart with its little furry paws, and said, "It scared me to death. My heart is still pounding hard right now."

Under the horrified eyes of those people, the two of them left the supermarket while patting their little hearts. Seeing them leave, everyone in the supermarket heaved a sigh of relief. Some timid women even fell to the ground and cried out of relief, while the men were busy checking the security of the supermarket for fear that Zhu Lin would come back and kill them.

After Zhu Lin and Tu Tu left the supermarket, they walked carefully while avoiding the walking corpses. The walking corpses move very slowly, and it's easy for Zhu Lin to avoid them before they spot herself and Tu Tu.

Looking at the number of walking corpses, Zhu Lin couldn't help but say, "Judging from the number of puppets, there should be at least hundreds of puppets in this area alone. I wonder if there are more puppets in other places."

Tu Tu patted Zhu Lin on the cheek, shook its little head and helplessly said, "Master, you shouldn't be worried about the number of these puppets, but who are the owners of these puppets instead."

Hearing what the rabbit said, Zhu Lin calmly said, "These puppets have no owners. I checked before, and there is no trace of the creator."

After thinking about her words, Tu Tu said, "Then... The one who made these puppets must be so powerful that even you can't detect the remaining traces on the puppets."

Zhu Lin smiled and said, "After my god core shattered, I'm just a mortal with a little bit of cultivation. It won't be easy for me to find out who owns these puppets."

Tu Tu grabbed her cheeks with its two furry paws, rubbed its little head against her cheeks, and asked, "Master, can you recover your god core?"

Zhu Lin thought for a while, and said calmly: "It is not impossible to create a new god core, since I was born as a true god. The problem is, this world doesn't have divine energy, spiritual energy nor demonic energy. Since I woke up, all I can detect in this world is devil energy. I can create a devil core if I want. But when I succeed, I will become another Devil God. That being the case, what is the use of returning to the Six Realms?"

After hearing her words, the rabbit's long ears limped and it asked sadly: "Then… Then… We can't go back?"

Zhu Lin stroked the rabbit's soft fur, let out a sigh, but said nothing. They walked for a while, but did not find a suitable place to rest. After thinking about it, Zhu Lin said, "Since it's the same everywhere, let's rest there tonight."

Tu Tu followed her gaze and saw a tall building not far from there. The condition of the building should be good enough for them. The rabbit looked at its owner and asked, "Master, do you know how to open the door?"

Zhu Lin shook her head and said, "Since the door can't be opened, let's climb the building. The roof should be a good place to rest. We can watch the moon and enjoy the night wind."

Tu Tu thought about Zhu Lin's words, nodded, and said, "Well, these low-level puppets probably won't be able to climb up. Tonight, it should be safe enough for us to rest there."

Since it was agreed to rest on the roof, Zhu Lin looked at Bing Jian and asked, "Bing Jian, can you carry us up?"

Bing Jian hummed for a few seconds as an answer. After receiving Bing Jian's answer, Zhu Lin sighed and said, "I know you are not useless, and I know there is really no spiritual energy in this world."

After stroking Bing Jian's scabbard a few times, Zhu Lin checked her ice flower pendant, looking for something useful that could help her climb up the building. She searched for a while, and all the divine artifacts that her elder brother prepared for her needed spiritual energy or divine energy to activate them. Not finding anything useful, she looked around and picked up a piece of paper on the ground.

Tu Tu looked at the dirty piece of paper and asked, "Master, why did you pick up that piece of paper?"

"There is nothing that can help us climb up the building, and Bing Jian can't waste his spiritual energy either. So, I want to make some wind talisman." As she spoke, she lightly swiped her index finger on her sword.

Zhu Lin pinched her index finger lightly, and blood oozed from her fingertips. Then, she squatted on the ground, flipped the paper, and wrote with her own blood on the back of the paper.

Tu Tu watched her create a low-level wind talisman with her own blood, and said sadly: "Master, your blood is very precious. How can you use it to make such a low-level talisman?"
