"I was drunk, okay?" James snapped, getting offended by Adrian's words.
Adrian laughed, which only caused James to scowl.
"If you continue to beam at me. I will hang up the phone, I swear!" James warned.
"Go on. Let's see if you can do that. Not like I was the one to call." Adrian slouched down and placed his phone next to his ear, patiently waiting for the line to go dead, but it never did.
"You are so bad, Adrian, but I will forgive you because you are my only friend," James said after a brief pause.
"Okay now, stop being dramatic and tell me what's wrong and why did you drink?" Adrian asked.
Adrian might have been indifferent towards James, but he knew when and where to show his concern.
James took a moment to consider where to begin, but he quickly started by telling Adrian about last night.
"So you have a rival. That sounds interesting," Adrian said after hearing James out.
