Nolan stares blankly at her for a few minutes. Despite Leila's straightforwardness, she has never asked him to leave in such a manner before.
Leila, on the other hand, has her eyes on the document in hand, paying no attention to him any more. He opens his mouth to speak but thinks twice about it, then shuts his mouth.
Nolan steps out of the office, shutting the door behind him slowly. Something was wrong, and he could feel it the moment he stepped into the company.
He takes out his phone quickly from his pocket and opens his call log. He dials a number, but before it could go through, a notification comes through the phone with his name and picture on the front lines.
Quickly, he ends the call and taps on the notification. Nolan's smile disappears immediately when he reads the headlines.
