Much to Angelo's dismay, Emily had finally gotten permission from him to leave the office in order to meet with a woman who saved her life.
"Thank you so much, although I wonder why you left before I could introduce you to my husband," Emily said. Just then, the older woman paused and then gracefully turned to face Emily. Like always, she had a smile on her face and was always ready to chat.
"Oh, dear, I hope I did not offend your husband," she said sadly. But Emily was quick to comfort her by taking the older woman's hand in hers and smiling briefly.
"There's no need to worry; he is not offended, but he really wishes that he could have seen the woman who saved his wife's life," she said.
