"Emily, wake up!" Angelo yelled as he quickly rushed to where Emily's body lay. He touched her back because she was lying face down, but he quickly removed his hand as he saw that it was stained with blood.
Thinking fast, Angelo removed the bag from her head, turned her around, and then paused. The feeling of relief overwhelmed him as he saw that the woman who had been shot was not Emily.
"I've been tricked," he told himself. However, he was at least grateful that Emily had not been shot in the process.
"They've gotten away!" Angelo turned around, only to see Tito holding a gun as he was out of breath. Tito looked at the woman's lifeless body on the ground, and then he looked at Angelo, just then he too had realized that they had been tricked into giving out Angelo's mother.
"How many casualties do we have?" Angelo asked Tito as he got off the floor.
