'This is a big mistake.' Angelo reminded himself mentally, but having Emily in his arms, looking at him as if he were the only man who mattered, made him disregard caution.
Emily protested, "But there are people," and tried to turn her head away, but Angelo gently put his hand underneath her chin and twisted her head so that she would look at him.
"Ignore them; this is about us. Just this once, let's block out the world," Angelo urged Emily, practically pleading to her in a low and eager tone.
This laid-back, non-demanding Angelo was something she had never seen before. The man before her was frail and craved her touch. Similarly, Emily, inspired by his reckless behavior, decided to forgo caution.
Angelo felt his blood rushing to his brain as Emily raised her head and pushed her soft, moist lips against his own.
