*Flashback*
Angelo's POV
There were many voices around Angelo, some of which he could hear, while others seemed far away and were only audible through his imagination. He had been attempting to open his eyes for a long time, but to no effect.
"Quickly, we need to locate his family," he overheard someone suggest. Angelo expended much effort, hoping to open his eyes or raise his hands, but he was let down. In a short while, the doors shut and all was silent except for a beeping noise from the machines.
Open your eyes, Angelo. He told himself mentally, as he hoped to give himself the mental push, he needed to accomplish what he thought was impossible. With another jab, Angelo's eyes sprung open, but he soon closed them again because the lights were too intense.
