While Emily's tears still ran down her face, Angelo lowered his head to kiss her, but he stopped shy of an inch from her lips; without using words, his eyes asked her for permission to proceed.
'Don't!' her mind warned her, but the closer Angelo got to her lips, the more she longed for him. She had long held herself back from doing everything she had often dreamed of with Angelo.
"Kiss me," She heard herself yell out, and just then, Angelo's lips curled into a smile, and she could almost swear that she saw a glint in his eyes. He lowered his head as his lips touched Emily's own, and right there and then, he felt ecstasy. The heat from her mouth warmed his entire body, and with little to no control over himself, Angelo wrapped his hands around Emily's and lifted her from the floor.
