Cindy went back to work after a few days. Her hand had healed yet she wore a long-sleeved shirt just in case someone started asking questions.
The office was gloomy, not at all in its usual glory. Everyone looked as if their father had died and the overall vibe was almost like that of a funeral.
Cindy walked slowly. Alexander drove her to this place since Daniel was still in the hospital. His condition was not as dire as before but he still needed to stay in the hospital for further monitoring.
Cindy walked to her department and found the same mood yet when she took the first step, she felt arms on her. She registered that someone was hugging her and the person was doing so very tightly.
She froze for a second before she heard sobs coming from the person, "Why didn't you tell me that you were sick? I was so worried about you!"
It was Arianna. Cindy let her guard down and patted her back slowly, "I am okay now…see?"
