Cindy was taken to the operating room as soon as they arrived. Since she lost a lot of blood, she needed an immediate transfusion which was quickly facilitated by the hospital. Doctor Ji was already waiting for them and when he saw the bloody Alexander, he could not help but say softly, "You should get a change of clothes then you can get a checkup too."
Alexander was pale. His breath was also coming in shallow waves which made Doctor Ji worried.
Despite being the family doctor, he was also a friend so giving Alexander the support he needed right now was something he should do.
Alexander stood outside. His heart was beating very fast. His shirt was bloody red and some of it dripped down when he walked. He was pacing around nervously.
If he lost Cindy today, he would also have to follow her since she was the sole reason for his existence!
