He placed his hand on her shoulder.
Luna slowly looked up at him.
He then gently pulled her into a hug.
He did not say anything and simply hugged her.
As compared to before, she silently cried in his embrace. Having thoughts of how things went back then is painful but knowing the sole truth, proving that you are right, is even more painful.
They were truly abandoned.
Archibald placed his hand on Caroline's shoulder and gestured for the two of them to go to a different side.
She silently followed him, leaving the two of them.
Archibald continued reading the records of how they developed their abilities while Caroline silently sat in the chair near him.
After a few minutes, she finally asked.
"Will sister be fine?"
Archibald looked at her.
"The look she had a while ago was so broken. Life just returned to her eyes yet now she looked like she was about to fall into the abyss once again."
