Reuben looked down at his hands.
Even though he had sent Richard's sword away, his hand was trembling from the heaviness of his attacks.
"You have seriously improved a lot as compared to when you just came," he commented, watching Richard pick up his sword.
"Still, I can barely win from you during our sparring, Sir," Richard replied.
"If it is swordfighting alone then you are close to catching up to me. If it is with ability then surely I would not win against you," Reuben pointed out.

Richard looked at his sword with a frown on his face.
Reuben chuckled, no matter how much he improved, Richard still felt like he was lacking. And Reuben finds that admirable because not many would have this way of thinking. Especially with the strength that they already have? He can tell that most people who are of the same age as Richard would already be arrogant.
