"Why me?" Aaron asked when Julian called for him that afternoon to inform him of the birthday banquet.
Archibald left it to him to decide who would represent them in attending the banquet.
"I will ask you this, do you hate going there?" Julian asked instead.
"Not that I hate it. I mean the people of the past are already gone. But it is a formal setting and there could be others," Aaron explained.
Julian sighed, "Well, as you already know, Genevieve is a free-spirited one. And up to now, at her current age, she was still not engaged. If we were to partner her with someone else, then things would be messy. But as her teacher, being by her side is normal. They can talk but no one would talk too much."
"Could it be that Gabriel is partnered with someone else?" Aaron asked again.
"To the princess since Prince Mathew is now engaged," Julian replied.
Aaron could only sigh, he understood very well why Julian made this arrangement.
