"Wait… uhmmm, just a minute."
Genevieve took a step back, Aaron letting her go.
She blinked her eyes in confusion.
"Uhmmm, I came here to just check on you. Why… What is going on?"
Aaron could understand why she reacted this way. There were no hints or even some prelude that he had feelings for her. Then out of the blue here he is confessing to her. Asking her if he could court her.
He left her to absorb what he had just told her.
A smile appeared on his lips while watching her get flustered and confused by what just happened.
After a while, she looked at him with furrowed brows.
"Are you serious? It is me?"
"Who else did I bring here other than you?" he asked back.
"But I was nothing close to being a lovable person."
He chuckled, "What is a lovable person to you?"
"Someone who has a lady-like demeanour? Uhmmm, who tends to stay at home? Or something like that?"
