Upon entering, I immediately noticed that the two were still engrossed in their conversation, and to my surprise, the bottle of wine we had earlier, which remained unopened, had already been drained.
Upon closer inspection, it became apparent that Denise was showing signs of being somewhat tipsy, leading me to conclude that she was likely the one who had almost drained the bottle.
"Hey! You guys, haha, are you already finished with your conversation?" Denise asked promptly.
"Yes," I responded succinctly, taking a seat beside her on the sofa.
"So, what were you guys talking about? Did David tell you something he didn't want us to know, which is why you both went out and talked while gazing at the beautiful stars, discussing lovely things and, well, you know?" Denise said mischievously, glancing between the two of us, especially at David, before approaching me to whisper, "Did David confess anything to you?" She added with a playful tone.
