"Woah! Haha, can't you believe it?! Fate seems to have chosen you, Rina, to catch the bouquet! HAHA!" Denise exclaimed with joy as I held the bouquet thrown by the bride.
For some inexplicable reason, I was standing in my spot earlier, patiently waiting for the bouquet tossing to conclude without any plans of meddling in the crowd.
Then, the bouquet suddenly came in my direction. I didn't catch it intentionally, it simply got entangled in my dress. And I was about to remove it, forgetting momentarily that in this tradition, whoever holds or catches the bouquet is deemed fortunate and may be the next to marry.
Unfortunately, luck wasn't in my favor, as I had no desire to catch it in the first place....
"W-wait! I really didn't catch the bouquet! It just landed on me!" I quickly defended myself against the amused onlookers.
