I can hardly believe my eyes as I see Victor approaching me, wearing a triumphant smile on his lips as if he just won a competition.
"Now that we have a winner, our handsome gentleman can now claim his prize!.. I mean, you can now put the garter from the thigh of our beautiful lady who caught the bouquet! Oh my Gosh! They really look perfect together!" The emcee playfully and seemingly giddy remarks.
Then I notice some of the guests who can't seem to divert their attention from Victor and me.
Meanwhile, David's cousins give Victor peculiar glances, as if warning him not to do anything mischievous.
As Victor approached, Dave handed him the garter with a triumphant grin before making his way towards me....
I couldn't help but observe Victor, his wide grin seemingly unaffected by the curious eyes around us.
