Chapter 19 - Poor Victor, tangled up in a very very complicated relationship.

Victor still couldn't believe the amount of food he and Rina had consumed.

However, it would be more accurate to say that he had eaten most of it, as almost all the dishes Rina had ordered were nearly empty, with only a small portion of food remaining.

This was because every time he took a bite, she consistently transferred more food to his plate.

And he couldn't figure out why he didn't stop her despite feeling annoyed.

That's why, in the end, he felt quite full, even though he had already eaten a substantial meal earlier.

"Wow, I didn't know you were so hungry. You kept saying you weren't, yet you're eating almost everything," Rina commented softly, just loud enough for him to hear.

He responded with a disapproving look.

"Who's to blame?" he retorted, giving her a stern look, but she just looked back at him innocently.

"Well, since I've eaten a lot, you should finish what's left," Victor suggested, pushing the remaining dishes toward Rina.

They could have easily finished the food that was left, but both knew they would feel uncomfortably full, especially after their earlier dinner.

"No, I can't eat anymore. There are so many hungry people in the world, so I'll just wrap up the leftovers to give to those in need outside," Rina explained.

Victor could only frown at her nonsensical statement, knowing well that it was her way of avoiding their previous conversation.

He then noticed her retrieving a bag from her purse and placing the remaining food inside.

He was left dumbfounded by her actions, feeling more embarrassed for her than anything else.

"Why? Remember, we cannot waste food as there are many hungry people in the world" Rina said, seeming to notice Victor's discomfort.

Then she chose not to respond to Victor's gaze and instead focused on wrapping up the leftover food.

Soon, Victor realized that they had been inside for quite some time.

"I think it's getting late... maybe we should head back home," Victor abruptly suggested, checking his watch, signaling that it was time to leave.

"You're going home too?" Rina asked, catching Victor off guard.

He furrowed his brow in response.

"Don't you want me to go to my house?"

"It's not just your house..it's our house!" Rina responded.

"Yes, Yes, of course. Are you coming with me then?"

"Are you willing to take me then?" Rina asked,

Victor arched an eyebrow, their gazes locking, as he noted the way Rina responded.

"Why? Are you planning to go home alone?" he replied, a touch of irritation in his voice.

"Would you allow me to go home alone?" Rina challenged him.

"If you want to go home alone, then go," Victor snapped.

"You're quite fickle!! ". Rina retorted with annoyance.

"You know, I also find you very annoying today. Is that all you have to say? It's like you want to provoke me."

'I'm very annoyed too because I feel hurt' Rina thought to herself.

"Well, I don't see anything wrong with what I said. Maybe you just don't want me around?"

"Ugh, you know, if I didn't want to come along with you, I should have told you earlier when

you were just ordering our food!"

"In that case, maybe you're just forcing yourself to be with me."

"What??" Victor exclaimed, running his hand through his hair in frustration.

"You know what? We should just head back home. I'm tired, and you're such a useless conversation partner!" He said irritably, leaving the restaurant.

Unbeknownst to her, other customers and some staff had already started staring at them, and even Helena was discreetly sneering in the corner.

"Wait!!! Hey! ... What the—" she muttered as she watched him leave, then looked around.

Then she felt embarrassed about drawing so much attention from the other customers.

'Haist, my husband is so rude,' she thought to herself, wearing a subtle smile, satisfied with the success of her plan to overfeed Victor.

It seemed like she was in the mood to tease him today, possibly due to her pregnancy.

Perhaps their baby had sensed her emotional distress, leading to her playful mood swings.

Without delay, she stood up and followed Victor.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Helena had thrown her glass, causing it to shatter when she saw Rina and Victor leaving. Everyone in the restaurant turned to look at the loud crash.

"What!?" Helena angrily asked those who were looking at her.

The staff rushed over to her due to her disruptive behavior.

"Ma'am, you can't do this here. You have to pay for the damage---," one of the staff members began to say, but Helena took out all the money from her wallet and waved it in front of the staff.

"How much are you?" Helena asked coldly.

"Sorry?"

"I said, how much are you and this restaurant worth? Just name your price," she said arrogantly, raising an eyebrow at the staff.

"Ma'am, we're not selling the restaurant. We just want you to pay for the damage you caused, and it's not right for you to disturb our other customers—"

But Helena interrupted him again.

"See that guy who just left?" She pointed to Victor.

The staff immediately recognized Victor as they were still affiliated with the Reymundo Corporation, which owned several businesses in the area, including the restaurant they were currently in.

"That guy just proposed to me earlier, so you have no right to talk to me like that!!. I'm his girlfriend, so fuck off!" she yelled at the staff.

The staff member was somewhat intimidated by Helena's outburst, likely due to her affluent background.

However, when she mentioned being Victor's girlfriend, He couldn't help but slightly chuckle, which Helena noticed immediately.

"Why are you laughing?? Is there something so funny about what I said?, You're so rude! Where's your manager?! I need to talk to him! " she exclaimed, getting more agitated.

"Ma'am, that's enough, you shouldn't make a scene here". the staff pleaded as he was trying to calm her down.

But then, he added,..

"But are you really sure you're Mr. Reymundo's girlfriend? You saw the woman he was with earlier; they looked so sweet and close....."

When the staff said that, Helena's irritation escalated even further, to the point where she was almost on the verge of physically hurting the person in front of her.

"What the hell! You're just a staff member here, but you've got some nerve. I'll remember this day, and I'll make sure Victor hears about how you humiliated me!" Helena fumed, her anger evident.

"Then why didn't you approach him earlier if you're his girlfriend?" the staff member questioned, undeterred.

It was just then, that the restaurant manager arrived.

"Hey, are you the manager? Please, make this guy over here disappear this instant!" Helena directed her frustration at the newcomer.

"Yes, ma'am, I am the manager, but I'm not here for that. I'm here to inform you that you're disturbing our other customers," the manager politely stated.

"What!?.. You know very well, that all of this will reach Victor! How dare you try to kick me out!?" Helena retorted.

"Ma'am, I apologize for this, but I'm here to escort you out of the restaurant. It's not appropriate to shout here. If you wish to inform Mr. Reymundo about this incident, we have CCTV cameras installed that will prove we are not at fault," the manager said with a smile, knowing they were in the right.

It was only then that Helena noticed the CCTV cameras pointed in her direction and the growing crowd of onlookers.

"Damn you!! I will not forget this day, especially you!" She exclaimed before forcefully pushing past the staff member who had irritated her earlier.

"You're welcome, ma'am," the staff member sarcastically said, bowing with a smug smile.

But Helena already stormed out of the restaurant, seething with anger, feeling immensely humiliated by what had happened inside.

'I'm not done yet!!! Damn that rude staff!! Damn you all who humiliated me today!, especially you Rina! I hate you!!!' She muttered to herself, then directed her rage at the tire of her Ferrari, which she angrily kicked.

As Helena explosively exited the restaurant,

the manager and several staff members turned their attention to the man who had been Helena's adversary earlier, which prompted the manager to apologize,

"Sir, I'm sorry for what happened--"

The man raised his hand, signaling that there was no need for an apology.

"You don't need to apologize because you weren't the one at fault. Anyway, who's that scandalous woman who seems overly familiar with Victor?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but I've seen her here often with Sir Victor, and just earlier, they dined together."

"Really, Victor? You mean Erwin, my cousin?"

"Yes, sir, and it really looks like she's Sir Victor's girlfriend because they're always so close to each other."

The man was surprised but quickly regained composure.

"Then my cousin is cheating on his wife, huh," he muttered to himself, but it was loud enough for the manager to hear.

"I'm sorry, sir, but Sir Victor doesn't have a wife yet."

The man burst into laughter.

"HAHAHAHA, my apologies, it seems I misspoke...HAHAHAHA...don't mind me...AHHAHAHA...I-It's just that, I find Victor in a very tight situation"

"Poor Victor, tangled up in a very very complicated relationship." He added, wearing a dazzling smile that sent shivers down the manager's spine, as he sensed that the man had something unpleasant in mind.
