"Daddy, why have you been smiling so wide since earlier?" Venice asked while standing on her seat and peeking at Victor while he was driving.
Victor almost hit the brakes in surprise at Venice's sudden peek, but fortunately, he managed not to, as Venice might have been thrown off her feet while standing in the car.
Victor gently pulled over to the side of the road to fasten Venice's seatbelt, which he had forgotten to do. If Rina were to find out that he hadn't properly secured the children's seatbelts, she might not trust him with the task of taking them to school again, even though she had clearly stated that she was only granting him this favor for the day.
"Daddy, why did we stop?" Venice asked.
"Venice, please don't do what you did earlier again. You should always stay seated properly in the car and remember to wear your seatbelt," Victor said as he stepped out of the car and opened the door where Venice was seated to fasten her seatbelt.
