I didn't even realize that the car, my father was currently driving, had momentarily come to a halt.
My mind was so enshrouded in intense thought, and I was so engulfed in profound sadness on this particular day, causing me to be unaware of the pause in our journey.
A little while later, my father got out of the car....
And it didn't take long before he returned to the car, holding a bouquet of fresh flowers that he had bought, along with some food that he handed to my older brother.
"Grandaddy, you've bought so many flowers," my son remarked to my father.
"Remember, today is the day we really need to offer these flowers at our destination. So my dear grandson, hold this flower because you will be the one to give it to the person we're visiting," my father told to my son.
"Okay, I will hold this and give it to that special person," my son replied.
